For GENERAL DISCIPLINES: EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS—
(i) A recognized medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions stipulated in Section 13 (3) of the said Act,);and
(ii) A postgraduate medical qualification i.e. Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Master of Surgery (MS) or a recognised qualification equivalent thereto in the respective subject or allied discipline.
EXPERIENCE:—
(i) Fourteen years of teaching experience and / or research experience in recognised institution in the concerned speciality or subject after obtaining the qualifying degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Master of Surgery (MS) or qualification equivalent thereto.
(ii) Minimum of ten years teaching experience as Professor or Associate Professor or Reader in a Medical College, out of which at least five years should be as Professor in a Department.
Note 1: The experience should be recognized by the Medical Council of India or the statutory body concerned with the system of medicine as valid teaching experience for teaching posts and certificate thereof or any other valid proof in support thereof should be submitted and a certificate to this effect is to be submitted.
Note 2: Teaching experience in any other post like the post of General Duty Medical Officer shall not be considered for eligibility purpose for recruitment to teaching posts.

For GENERAL DISCIPLINES: EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS—
- A qualification included in part I or Part II of the Schedule to the Dentists Act, 1948 (16 of 1948);
- Should be registered with Dental Council of India and;
Experience:— Fourteen years teaching experience in recognized Institution, in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of Master of Dental Surgery or qualification equivalent thereto, out of which minimum of five years teaching experience as a Professor in a recognized Dental College.
Note: The experience should be recognized by the Dental Council of India or the statutory body concerned with the system of medicine as valid teaching experience for teaching posts and certificate thereof or any other valid proof in support thereof should be submitted and a certificate to this effect is to be submitted.
A postgraduate qualification i.e. Master of Dental Surgery or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto.

Application in an envelope super scribed “Application for the post of Dean for ESI Medical Education Institutions” should be submitted preferably by Speed Post/ Registered Post at the following address: -

The following testimonials should be attached with application form:—
- One copy of recent passport size photograph duly attested and firmly pasted at the appropriate place on the application form.
- Attested copies of certificates and testimonials in support of proof of age, Date of Birth, Educational qualification and Experience etc.
- Attested copy of Community Status Certificate in the prescribed form in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/EWS category.
- Candidates seeking reservation benefits under SC/ST/OBC /PWD/EWS category must ensure that they are entitled to such reservation as per eligibility prescribed in the Notice and as per the instructions issued by Govt. of India. They should also be in possession of the certificates in the prescribed format of Govt. of India in support of their claim. Candidates claiming reservation / age relaxation under OBC Category should submit the OBC Certificate given at Annexure -”A” prescribed vide Govt. of India, Department of Personal and Training OM No. 36012/22/93- Estt.(SCT) dated 15.11.93 along with Self Declaration given at Annexure “B” failing which the benefit of reservation or age relaxation will not be given. (e) Candidates claiming reservation under EWS Category should submit the EWS Certificate given at Annexure -”C” .
- Candidates claiming relaxation in age under Ex-servicemen Category should submit form of undertaking as given at Annexure -”D”. Those candidates who are employed in Govt./Semi Govt. / Autonomous bodies etc. should sent their applications “Through Proper Channel”. However, they may send an advance copy of their application along-with demand draft and other certificates and testimonials before the last date.
Note 1:- The application and the other documents should be arranged in the following order one below the other and tightly tagged or stapled on the left hand side top corner.

- 2. Self-Attested copies of certificates.
Note 2:-The Demand Draft should not be tagged or stapled, but should be pinned or clipped at the top of the application form. The name and address of the candidates should be written on the reverse side of the Demand Draft.
