State/UT-wise Distribution of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas According to the Navodaya Vidyalaya Scheme, one Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is to be set up in each District in a phased manner. At present, 649 Vidyalayas are functional in 27 States and 08 Union Territories. The State/UTwise distribution of functional JNVs is as under:

Education Qualification— Candidate must be studing in class 5^th in the session 2021-22. A candidate who has passed class 5^th is not eligible for this.

Instructions for the candidates:

1. The process of submission of online application involves only single stage.
2. The reservations to the OBC candidates shall be implemented as per Central List. The OBC candidates not included in Central list should apply as General Candidate.
3. Keep the following scanned copies ready before start filling the application in JPG Format Only.
4. Candidate's signature. (Size of signature should be between 10-100 kb.)
5. Parent's signature. (Size of signature should be between 10-100 kb.)
6. Candidate's photograph. (Size of image should be between 10-100 kb.)
7. Certificate signed by parent & candidate and verified by Headmaster. (Size of image should be between 50-300 kb.)
8. Residence Certificate of the parent Issued by competent Government Authority if candidate does not possess Aadhaar Number
